MISSOULA -- Missoula Big Sky head softball coach Trevor Subith is stepping away from the program, Subith confirmed to 406 Sports Wednesday.
Subith is moving to Bradenton, Florida, for one year while his son trains in gymnastics, he said. He is planning on returning to Missoula afterwards and hopes to return to coaching.
Subith took over the Big Sky program leading into the 2021 season, compiling a record of 65-50-1 in five years. After a 5-18 season in his first campaign, Subith has guided the Eagles to a record of 60-32-1 and four-consecutive state tournament berths since. The last time Big Sky reached state before Subith's arrival was 2017.
Big Sky is currently in the process of finding its next head coach.
