Elective surgeries at Sligo's orthopaedic theatre are set to resume next week - six weeks on from the latest leak in the roof.
The HSE say that final works are scheduled to be completed on the theatre roof this week with all elective activity resuming the following week.
A feasibility study in relation to options of replacement theatre ancillaries and storage is also said to be nearing completion, with a final report to be reviewed at the end of this month.
The theatre had to shut at the beginning of October, after rain came through the roof during Storm Amy.
Work has been ongoing on the roof of the theatre for the last few months, following several previous leaks.
