As you explore the world of Hollow Knight: Silksong, you can pick up a wide variety of sidequests - or, as they're called in-game, "Wishes." One of these Wishes, called "Rite of the Pollip," tasks you with tracking down Pollip Hearts for the mysterious Greyroot.

Pollip Hearts are tied to a series of strange purple flowers you'll find throughout the Shellwood area. However, it can be difficult to locate them all if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. So, in case you're having trouble finding all six Pollip Hearts in the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong, here's everything you need to know.

How To Start The Pollip Heart Quest "Rite Of The Pollip"

In order to begin the Pollip Heart quest, "Rite of the Pollip," head to the area indicated on the map above, located within the Shellwood region right near the exit to Bellhart.

From Hornet's position in the image above, jump up and to the left to climb to the higher ledge. In the following room, enter the small hut, then walk forward. Greyroot will rise up out of a cocoon and begin delivering some of the game's characteristic cryptic dialogue.

You may have to speak to Greyroot at least twice in order to unlock "Rite of the Pollip," but either way, you'll soon get the option to "Promise Wish" - i.e., to accept the sidequest or not. Do so, and then get to work finding those purple flowers.

Hollow Knight Silksong: All Pollip Heart Locations Pollip Heart #1

Perhaps unsurprisingly, we can find our first Pollip Heart pretty close to where we picked up the sidequest in the first place. Head to the northeast part of this large, central room, climbing the platforms until you reach the top.

Right in front of you, there should be a giant purple flower surrounded by other, smaller purple flowers. Attack it until it drops your first Pollip Heart.

Pollip Heart #2

The second Pollip Heart is located in this southeastern room, right before the exit to Bellfort. Climb up and to the right of this room until you see lots of purple flowers lining one of the walls. Use your wall jump to get up to a small platform there, where you'll find a large purple flower (and thus, your second Pollip Heart).

Pollip Heart #3

For the next Pollip Heart, we're going to head to the room almost directly above the one where we began this quest. From the position indicated on the map above, jump left, then float down to another platform directly beneath the one you're on. Attack the purple flower to get the Pollip Heart.

Pollip Heart #4

For Pollip Heart number four, head northeast to the location indicated above. Run right and climb the floating platform above the water, then wall-jump all the way to the top of the room. Follow the path left, then slightly right to find your third Pollip Heart.

Pollip Heart #5

You'll find the next Pollip Heart in this high-ceiling room in the northeast part of the map. Note the various white bulbs hanging from vines - you'll need to use them to climb up to the top-left corner of the room to find our next purple flower.

Using your attacks to destroy and bounce off the white bulbs, along with wall jumps as needed, make your way to the top of the room, and slash the purple flower again to get Pollip Heart number five. It'll fall to the bottom of the room, so be prepared to chase after it.

Pollip Heart #6

For the final Pollip Heart, travel to the upper portion of the small passageway between Shellwood and Greymoor. Head left via the middle exit to reach an unmarked room full of spikes.

Head left carefully, jumping over the spikes and taking the lower path when it forks in two. At the bottom left corner of the room, you'll find our sixth and final purple flower.

Hollow Knight: Silksong - "Rite Of The Pollip" Rewards What You Get For Finding All Six Pollip Hearts

Once you've found all six Pollip Hearts, return to Greyroot, exactly where you began the quest. Interact to turn over your Pollip Hearts and end the sidequest.

Watch the dialogue and the animation for a moment - Greyroot will offer you the "refuse of the rite." This takes the form of an equippable item called the Pollip Pouch.

The Pollip Pouch is a tool that you can equip to your crest - once equipped, it'll apply a poison effect to all other tools where applicable. It goes in the blue slot, so be mindful of any other equipment you may have to give up in order to use it.

With that, though, you've officially completed the Pollip Hearts sidequest, and can move onto the rest of this beloved sequel. With the ability to poison your enemies, you'll find certain segments of Hollow Knight: Silksong get much easier.
