Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, is still mourning and honoring her late husband and their daughter, Gianna.

"We love and miss you and Gigi so much. Sending our love to you. Happy birthday, baby," she wrote on Instagram on what would have been late NBA legend's 47th birthday

Kobe, Gianna, and seven others died in a helicopter crash in February 2020.

His legacy in the NBA is also on deck to be honored in an upcoming movie.

Development has begun at Warner Bros. on a film titled "With the 8th Pick," following the high-stakes process of Kobe being drafted to the NBA, per The Hollywood Reporter.

"With the 8th Pick" will reportedly focus on the New Jersey Nets and their then-general manager John Nash, who held the eighth pick in the draft and contemplated taking Kobe out of high school.

The shooting guard was eventually taken by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th pick before being traded to the Lakers - where he would go on to win five NBA championships.

The movie is being compared to other sports hits like "Air," and "Moneyball," along with the drama "The Social Network."
