Walking dead virus and crossed virus vs dc marvel and invincible - Battles - Comic Vine

Well, zombies in The Walk Dead almost certainly are not the product of a virus. Dr. Jenner of the CDC indicated that even with months of research they couldn't even tell whether the cause was viral, bacterial, fungal, prion, etc. There's no evidence for a pathogen.

All indications are the the way it works is simple: If you die, you become a zombie, and only brain destruction changes that. It's basically a supernatural apocalypse. It's not a transmittable disease.

So if it happened in DC? There'd be initial outbreaks during villain attacks, deaths of elderly people, car accidents, etc. But the Justice League is familiar with these kinds of disasters and probably wouldn't take long to realize how it works. I mean, their roster includes magic users and psychics.

Once they realize that the walkers are truly dead with no significant remnants of their original personalities (hell, they might even communicate with various supernatural beings to confirm the absence of the soul), I think the League would have no objection to destroying walkers. A walker is no different than a mindless killer robot.

Taking out the first wave of walkers isn't an issue. Flash or Superman could do it on their own. The real problem is how society has to change to prevent walkers from getting out of control, because now anyone who dies becomes a zombie. A random heart attack in an office building could lead to a walker who kills half a dozen people before help can arrive

Well, the speedsters don't have to kill. They can just round the walkers up in a safe place. Antarctica, perhaps, or Superman could just dig a giant pit in the Sahara as a temporary storage place while they look for a cure.

I don't think they'd hold out much hope for any kind of medical cure, though. Walkers really ruin their bodies fast as they constantly fall, slam into things, tear their flesh, etc. and it never heals. Even if they were cured, the majority would probably die from the injuries anyway, since being a zombie is the only thing that keeps them "alive" after all that.

I think the only viable methods for dealing with the condition would be magical or involve time travel (to investigate and stop the causeA little worse, I'd guess, as it doesn't have individuals as powerful as Flash or Superman (usually) who'd intervene the same way. I think Latveria would do best, as Doom would immediately understand the nature of the plague and institute all necessary measures to prevent its spread. Within a month, everyone in Latveria would have a microexplosive put into the base of their skulls, which detonates after 10 minutes of absent brain activity - you die, and then a little "pop" stops you from ever becoming a walker.

The "Crossed" Universe is quite simply one of the most horrific post apocalyptic fictional worlds ever created; it makes scenarios like The Walking Dead & Terminator look like a walk in the park in comparison. Nearly every person infected in this universe with the Cross virus gives in to their worst impulses & is driven by a desire to commit the worst acts imaginable: Murder, torture, , cannibalism etc.

The virus infects incredibly easily & turns people almost instantaneously, with little to no incubation period. The worst part though is that while tue virus does drive them to be more irrational and less concerned for their well being, it does not remove their mental faculties whatsoever, ala zombies. They are just as smart and just as capable as the people they were before, they just now devote all their intelligence and capabilities towards finding any uninfected and subjecting them to the worst nightmares imaginable. Thus is a world with what little remains of humanity constantly hungry and terrified, always on the run or hunkered away in bunkers, with no possibilities of gaining the upper hand and taking back their world.

This is a world devoid of hope, or any prospects of a better tomorrow. And this is in a normal world, with human beings of normal strength and intelligence. Throw in the various meta humans of the DC Universe, with their fantastic abilities, strength, speed and intelligence far behind what normal humanity is capable of?

We are truly and honest to God just fucked. Our only vestige of a hope is for a speedster to go back in time & prevent the whole thing from happening to begin with. But if just one speedster with the strength of Barry Allen gets Crossed, they could just go out for a jog & the rest of them could be infected in a few attoseconds, eliminating that option all together.

So yea...it's not looking great. The Cross virus makes one carry out their most evil thoughts, but would Sueprboy even have any evil thoughts? Would he even be infected by it?

If we assume that both of these are true, then the best option would be for Flash to travel back before Superboy gets infected and nuke the whole city. There would be no other option once the other members of the Justice League get infected.
