Keanu Reeves is set to star in Shiver, a new sci-fi thriller directed by Tim Miller, known for Deadpool. The film, produced by Matthew Vaughn's Marv Films, promises high-stakes action involving sharks, mercenaries, and a deadly time loop, though plot details remain under wraps.
Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves is all set to collaborate with Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool, for an upcoming film, Shiver. Warner Bros. is reportedly currently negotiating to acquire a unique sci-fi film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keanu will star in the Tim Miller-directed film.
Along with Aaron Ryder, whose recent credits include the Gamestop film Dumb Money and the love story All of You, Matthew Vaughn, the director of the Kingsman action film series, will produce under his Marv Films banner.
The script for Shiver, written by Ian Shorr, has been compared to The Shallows, the Blake Lively shark survival film, and Edge of Tomorrow, the Tom Cruise science fiction film about a soldier caught in a time loop during an alien invasion.
The plot details of the upcoming film have been kept under wraps. However, the reports have suggested that the story revolves around a ne'er-do-well smuggler who, while working in the Caribbean Sea, gets caught up in a deadly double-cross and is surrounded by bodies, hostile mercenaries, and hungry sharks. He then discovers that he is trapped in a deadly time loop and must hurry to end it.
WME assembles the package and distributes it to studio buyers, representing all the participants in Shiver, from the producers to the talent.
