The first reviews for Drop arejust starting to emerge, as the thriller recently debuted at SXSW. We circled this cat-and-mouse first date gone wrong as one of the movies to watch out for this spring, but few probably predicted Drop earning a perfect 100% critic score out of the gate. At the time of this writing -- it's still early, with only 12 reviews having been submitted to Rotten Tomatoes thus far -- the critical consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with pundits agreeing that this tight 90-minute thriller is a great time at the theater.
Reviewers from Collider, Screen Rant, indieWire, and RogerEbert.com are all sharing their thoughts on the latest film from Happy Death Day and Freaky director Christopher Landon. While no one is calling it the best movie ever made, critics are in agreement that Drop packs in a lot of tension and laughter into a tight little package. In fact, Collider's Nate Richard goes a step further, calling Drop "the perfect date-night movie" in his review of the film.
