Police nab 2 suspects in Pasig buy-busts

EASTERN Police District (EPD) anti-illegal drugs operatives have arrested two drug dealers in two separate operations in Pasig City.

EPD district director BGen. Aden Lagradante also said that the twin operations yielded more than 15 grams of suspected illegal drugs with an estimated total value of P105,000.00.

Arrested for possession of illegal drugs was a certain "Jr.," 29, who yielded two plastic sachets containing "shabu" weighing more or less 10.46 grams with an estimated street value of P71,128.00.

Operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Units (DDEU) arrested the suspect in a buy-bust operation conducted on Wednesday night in Sitio Kumunoy, Barangay San Miguel.

In another buy-bust operation, the Pasig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed a certain "Michael," 30, after selling suspected shabu to police officers.

Police operatives confiscated from the suspect seven heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less five grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of P34,000.00, along with the buy-bust money used in the illegal trade, coin purse, and a cellphone.

All seized suspected drugs have been turned over to the EPD Forensic Unit in Mandaluyong City for laboratory examination.

Lagradante commended the coordinated operations of both the DDEU and Pasig SDEU and praised the vigilance of the operatives involved.

"These back-to-back operations are a resounding statement of our determination to protect our people and reclaim our communities from the grip of illegal drugs," Lagradante said.

"The Eastern Police District stands firm and we will pursue every lead to dismantle the drug network, and bring offenders to justice. There is no safe haven for drug activities under our watch," he said.

Meanwhile, the suspects will be under police custody pending the filing of criminal complaints for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 (RA 10883).

San Juan City operation

In San Juan City, police arrested a certain "Bidjang," 19, and a resident of Old Sta. Mesa, Manila for stealing e-bikes.

Police investigation showed that the suspect took the e-bike of a female complainant, which was parked along Callejon St., Barangay Salapan, San Juan City, on the night of Oct. 27, 2025.

The complainant narrated that when she returned to the place where she parked her e-bike, it was not there. She tried to look for her e-bike and saw the suspect riding on it on Aurora Boulevard.

The complainant immediately sought police assistance, which led to the arrest of the suspect. The police, eventually, recovered the complainant's e-bike.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted that he also stole another e-bike in Barangay San Perfecto, San Juan City on Oct. 24, 2025.

He told the police that he kept the e-bike in a barangay in Pasay City where it was recovered during a follow-up operation.
