Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Fergal and Gwen debate how to stop Melanie from moving in.
Fergal wants to call Joan, but Gwen worries it could cost Melanie her job and she doesn't want to take things that far.
Melanie returns her key to Mondo, and they share a heartfelt goodbye.
Arriving at Gwen and Fergal's, Melanie claims Joan approved of her move-in, but they reveal they spoke to Joan directly who told Gwen to choose her own roommate.
Mondo and Kira celebrate having the house to themselves, and Kira suggests making some renovations.
Meanwhile, Sharon returns to work, but worries Hayley won't cope alone with the baby.
Mondo discusses the charity job with Anto, but mentioning last year's fire triggers Anto's guilt, and he turns it down.
Mondo asks Hayley to speak with him about it.
Emma checks in with Sharon about James seeing the baby, but Sharon is adamant that Hayley won't allow it.
Anto is moved when he sees how heartbroken James is.
Sharon helps an exhausted Hayley with the baby, and Hayley grows more appreciative of her support.
Hayley urges Anto not to feel guilty about the fire and that doing a good job would be the best way to repay Mondo.
Anto gently advises Hayley not to shut James out, reminding her that even flawed husbands can be good dads.
