JAKARTA - The list of share ownership changes above 5% on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (October 3rd) shows the entry of PT Bakrie Kalila Investment as a new 6.13% shareholder of PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG). This new investor purchased up to 1.59 billion shares of ENRG through PT KB Valbury Sekuritas and three other securities companies.
However, PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk sold more than 1.13 billion shares of ENRG, reducing its ownership from 20.55% to 16.18%. ENRG shares are engaged in oil and gas exploration and trading.
Foreign investor Fortune Street Limited invested in shipping company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) by purchasing 1.40 billion shares. The share purchase through PT Amantara Sekuritas Indonesia granted a 9.09% stake to the new investor.
Another foreign investor, UBS Switzerland AG, acquired 535.28 million shares of PT ITSEC Asia Tbk (CYBR) through BUT Deutsche Bank AG. The new investor immediately acquired an 8.05% stake in the cybersecurity services provider.
Green Era Energy Pte Ltd further increased its stake in PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) by 309.59 million shares. Its stake in the renewable energy issuer now stands at 22.99%. Citibank, N.A. and PT UOB Kay Hian Sekuritas facilitated the share purchase.
Emtek also continues to accumulate shares in broadcast media issuer PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA). PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk purchased 38.21 million shares of SCMA through PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia, taking its stake to 67.26%.
Meanwhile, UBS Switzerland AG and HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self again sold 100 million and 45 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), respectively. Both transactions were facilitated by PT Bank HSBC Indonesia.
UBS Switzerland AG currently owns 6.59% of the coal mining company's shares, while Chengdong Investment holds 9.08%.
PT Samuel Tumbuh Bersama further reduced its stake by selling 62.50 million shares of PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS). Its ownership of this palm oil producer dropped to 31.07%.
Finally, PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk sold 32.07 million shares of media company PT MNC Digital Entertainment Tbk (MSIN) through PT MNC Sekuritas. Its shares fell slightly to 9.34% as a result of the sale. (KD)
