Arsenal transfer news: Eight new signings and 14 exits confirmed as summer window ends - Daily Star

The transfer window has concluded, and it's fair to say it's been a momentous one for Arsenal as they try to finally win the Premier League again.

Sporting director Andre Berta oversaw the Gunners' summer dealings for the first time and remained active throughout the period. New signings were the main focus from day one for Arsenal following Mikel Arteta's side finishing runners-up for a third consecutive campaign.

The north London club secured agreements for Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi to launch their summer business. However, that was merely the beginning as Arteta was eventually provided with a striker when the Gunners invested over £60million in Viktor Gyokeres. The Sweden international had to force his departure from Sporting CP but has already opened his account for his new club.

Arsenal have invested over £350million after substantial sums were also committed to Eberechi Eze - signed under rivals Tottenham's noses - and Noni Madueke. Christian Norgaard and Cristhian Mosquera were brought in for a combined £25m as the Gunners sought to bolster squad depth. Piero Hincapie was then brought in on loan from Bayer Leverkusen with Arsenal holding an option to make the centre-back's move permanent next summer, reports the Mirror. Here's all the ins and outs from Arsenal's summer transfer window.
