The Houston Texans have gone under a lot of cosmetic changes on their offensive line this offseason. Considering C.J. Stroud was the second-most sacked quarterback in 2024, these changes were necessary. However, the Texans made several lateral moves, or even moves that brought in worse players up front. They also traded away left tackle Laremy Tunsil, leaving a hole to be filled with questionable or unproven talent.
One player stands out amongst those in position to potentially replace Tunsil, and that's Cam Robinson. PFF named the former Jaguar was the team's biggest X-Factor for the 2025 season.
"Cam Robinson, whom Houston signed in free agency, will attempt to fill Laremy Tunsil's shoes," PFF writes. "He's been consistently below-average in his career, failing to grade as a top-40 tackle during any of his eight seasons. If he can't adequately protect C.J. Stroud's blindside, second-round pick Aireontae Ersery could be given a shot."
If Robinson can keep Stroud upright, that will be a big weight off the shoulders of the Texans. He is entering his ninth NFL season with his third NFL team. He spent the 2024 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings.
