POCATELLO -- The newly formed Pocatello Collegium Musicum will present a Baroque Concert for Advent on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 248 N. Arthur Ave. in Pocatello. The concert will include solo and chamber works by G.P. Telemann and J.S. Bach and will conclude with Bach's Cantata 62, "Savior of the Nations, Come."
Featured soloists are soprano Diana Livingston Friedley, violinists Nell Flanders and Grace Solomon, cellist Karen Bechtel, organist Daniel Kerr, tenor Geoffrey Friedley and bass Joseph Marley.
The Pocatello Collegium Musicum is a new orchestral and choral ensemble formed for the performance of Baroque music and for the enjoyment of performers and audiences alike. The ensemble includes members of the Pocatello community and Idaho State University students, faculty and alumni. Trinity Church Alleluia Choir, Portneuf Chamber Singers will combine to present a full chorus for the occasion.
