Lidl customers will soon be able to snap up a box full of bargains for £20 - but they will not know what is inside until they get it home. All shoppers will know is that the contents could be valued at over £100.
However, stock of these returning 'mystery boxes' is incredibly limited, meaning shoppers must act quickly to secure a box themselves. The discount retailer has announced that only 1,500 boxes will be available for customers to buy nationwide.
Each one will be filled with "middle of Lidl treasures". Every box contains different items - crammed with an eclectic mix of unique, quirky and useful products. Contents might include anything from an Electric Stapler and Nailer (£7.99) and Parkside Insulated Flask (£4.99), to a Breville Ice Coffee Maker (£29.99), Active Cancelling Headphones (£19.99) and numerous other goodies.
Hidden within 150 randomly selected boxes is a gleaming 'Bonus Item Coupon', which unlocks a premium reward worth up to an impressive £100. Lucky winners might claim treats such as a comfortable Snuggle Pod Human Pet Bed, a robust Rowing Machine, Vax Air Lift 2 Pet Plus, Daewoo Dual Air Fryer 9L or even an elegant Sharp 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD Roku TV, reports the Mirror.
Last year, these coveted Mystery Boxes were completely sold out in less than an hour, meaning shoppers must be prepared to act swiftly once they become available. However, before customers rush to their local Lidl, they should note that these boxes won't actually be sold in the supermarkets themselves.
Shoppers should mark their calendars for Friday, October 24, as Lidl is set to launch an online shopping frenzy. The Lidl Mystery Boxes will be up for grabs at 10am on Friday (24 October 2025) via www.mysteryboxesbylidl.co.uk, while stocks last.
All proceeds from the sale of these Mystery Boxes will go to the NSPCC. Lidl has been asked if customers will be restricted on the number of boxes they can purchase with one online order.
The boxes will contain items that have previously been featured in Lidl's middle aisle. For those curious about what's next for the discount supermarket's 'random' aisle, they can check online ahead of the weekly updates that occur every Thursday and Sunday in stores.
Usually, shoppers can pick up an in-store leaflet on their way out for more information. For additional details, they can also check online here.
Around the same time, the mystery boxes will be sold online. Shoppers can also head in-store to find other items on sale. During that week, Lidl will be offering a selection of plants, candles, and kitchenware, including kettles, air fryers, and soup makers.
Lidl is no stranger to offering bargain bundles. Earlier this year, the supermarket caused quite a stir when it released a beauty bundle worth £60 and sold limited-edition boxes online for just £5.
