The University of Virginia's College at Wise has named Patrick Fisher as its new director of strength and conditioning.

A graduate of Castlewood High School and UVa-Wise who was a star basketball player at both places, Fisher most recently was the strength and conditioning coach at J.I. Burton High School.

He officially begins his new gig on June 16. "We are very excited to welcome Patrick back to UVa-

Wise," athletic director Kendall Rainey said in a press release. "He shares the vision and values of the College and the athletic department, and he has a passion for teaching and coaching. Patrick has strong knowledge of strength and conditioning and the skills and experiences to be a great extension of our coaching staffs."
