After an offseason full of reports suggesting safety Jevón Holland's time was up in Miami, the former second-round pick is on his way to New York. The former Dolphins player agreed to a three-year contract worth $45 million with the Giants, according to Ian Rapoport.
Holland initially joined the Dolphins via the 36th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft and quickly became a difference maker. He started 13 games and tallied 69 total tackles, 10 passes defended and two interceptions in his rookie season.
During his four-year career in Miami, Holland registered 301 total tackles, 25 passes defended and five interceptions. However, last year marked a down year for the former Oregon Duck.
He had a career-low 62 total tackles and failed to register a pick. After earning a career-high 90.4 Pro Football Focus grade in 2023, he dropped all the way to a 63.0 grade in his contract year last year.
If fellow starting safety Jordan Poyer also leaves the team in free agency, Miami could see a complete overhaul at the position. While Holland is now set to leave Miami, his departure could yield the team a compensatory draft pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
