Once a celebrated star of Punjabi and Bollywood cinema, she now lives far from the limelight.

There are many actresses in the film industry who achieved immense fame and success, but due to personal issues, they either retired from films or found themselves getting less work. Here, we're going to tell you about one such actress.

This Pakistani-born actress worked in Bollywood for 30 years. During these 30 years, she appeared in over 60 Hindi films. She also remained active in Punjabi films. A meeting with a director on a film set catapulted her career. Who are these actresses and directors? Let's find out.

This actress has worked in both Bollywood and Punjabi films, achieving popularity as a top actress there. She is also known as the Punjabi film industry's first female superstar. Despite her talent, she led a life of relative obscurity. This actress's real name is Nishi Kohli, whose real name is Krishna Kumar Sharma.

Nishi was born in Sialkot, Pakistan, in 1935. After Partition, she immigrated to India with her family. She then decided to pursue film work and began receiving offers for supporting roles.

Nishi won the hearts of fans with her bubbly charm. Her acting career was more prominent in Punjabi films than in Hindi cinema, where her pairing with Dara Singh was a major hit. She worked with Dara Singh in films like "Hercules," "Ek Tha Alibaba," "Dulla Bhatti," and "Badshah." In Bollywood, Nishi Kohli's films "Luttera" (1965), "Faguni" (1958), and "Wallah Kya Baat Hai" (1962) were super hits. Nishi appeared in more than 60 Hindi films during her career and also remained active in Punjabi films.

Although Nishi Kohli's films didn't do well in Bollywood, her personal life also made headlines. She married director-producer Rajkumar Kohli. It's said they met during the filming of a film and eventually married.

Soon after marriage, Nishi left the film world and began living with her family. Her husband, Rajkumar Kohli, has passed away, and she lives with her son, Armaan Kohli. Armaan Kohli's career as an actor hasn't been successful. His second son is named Gogi Kohli. Nishi is sometimes seen with her son Armaan at events, but the actress is now quite old.
