International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) president Fabio Azevedo was welcomed to Bangkok this week during the Women's Volleyball World Championship 2025 at Indoor Stadium Huamark.

On the occasion of his visit, Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), together with Dr Somsak Leeswadtrakul, a member of the World Aquatics Bureau, hosted a reception for Azevedo and his delegation at Lord Jim's, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, on Sept 5.

The event was also attended by Ali Garcia, FIVB Honorary Life President; Ramon Suzara, president of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC); Rita Subowo, former AVC president; and Somporn Chaibangyang, president of the Thailand Volleyball Association.
