Offering constructive suggestions for People-Centric Schemes, Om Birla emphasized that the objective of these committees is not to criticize the government but to provide constructive suggestions to make schemes more people-centric.
"If the committees work together with the government, transparency and accountability in governance will increase, which will achieve the goal of empowering the society," he said.
The Speaker stressed that SC/ST communities should receive the full benefits of constitutional rights and government schemes. He urged the committees to review the effective use of budgets and suggest necessary changes in schemes to ensure this.
"Our SC/ST youth are achieving new heights in education, business, start-ups, and innovation today. These youth will become strong pillars in the creation of a developed India by the year 2047," Om Birla said.
Om Birla appealed for the swift constitution of committees in states where they have not been formed yet, ensuring the overall development of deprived classes.
"Such events would be meaningful only when such committees are constituted soon in the states where they have not been formed so far, so that the overall development of the deprived class can be ensured," he emphasized.
The conference aimed to foster collaboration among parliamentary committees to promote the welfare of SC/ST communities and ensure their socio-economic empowerment.
