ELKHART, Ind. (WSBT) -- A family is safe after their mobile home caught fire Saturday afternoon in Elkhart.

The call came in just before 3:50 p.m. for the home in the 1400 block of Labor Day Lane.

When crews arrived, they saw flames on the outside of the home.

They were able to get the fire under control in less than 20 minutes.

Officials say the family, along with two dogs and two cats, made it out of the house safely.

An investigation is underway, however fire officials have stated the blaze was accidental.
