Another vendor has opened up shop in the Marina Market, bringing the tasty flavours of Asian street food to Cork city.

The team behind Tuk Tuk Wok Bar have been hard at work setting up their stall and served their first customers last week on Leeside. After the massive success of Tuk Tuk's other two locations in Clare and Kilkenny, the owners decided to set their eyes on the Rebel county, promising "delicious food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere".

Tuk Tuk has a big menu that caters to all dietary preferences, including gluten-free and vegan options. The menu was crafted by expert Thai chefs and their dishes contain no artificial flavours, preservatives or MSG.

Check out this cool video showing the chefs in action, cooking up some sizzling meals from the restaurant's social media:

All dishes are made with fresh ingredients and prepared according to traditional recipes. They serve a variety of noodles, stir-fries, curries, and their own specials, alongside a kids' menu and even a date night special, which comes with a bottle of wine.

Some highlights from the menu include:

The Tuk Tuk special fried rice - Khao Pad: Wok-fried rice with finely chopped vegetables in a special light sauce, with roasted cashews and a choice of chicken, tofu, beef or prawn. Black Bean Stir Fry: Mixed peppers, carrot, black bean, white onion, sliced chilli, mushroom, bamboo shoots, green beans. Tuk Tuk Spice Bag: Crispy chicken, fried potatoes, chips, peppers, and onions in a spicy seasoning mix, served with sweet chilli dip. Udon Noodles: Bok choy, Chinese leaves, bean sprouts, carrots, spring onion, cooked in homemade Tuk Tuk sauce.

The wok bar also takes pride in sustainability by using eco-friendly packaging and sourcing ingredients responsibly.

It has been a great year for the Marina Market, thanks to plenty of tasty new vendors opening stalls. If you're in the mood for some chicken, you can swing by Just Wing It, but if pizza is more your thing, Frankie's has plenty of slices. And if you have been meaning to try the viral matcha drink, Cork's first matcha bar also opened up shop a few months ago.
