Mings, Tielemans, Garcia: Aston Villa injury latest and return dates ahead of Go Ahead Eagles - Birmingham Live

Aston Villa are targeting their sixth successive win in all competitions when they take on Go Ahead Eagles on Thursday.

Unai Emery is expected to provide a team news update during his media conference on Wednesday evening, with Tyrone Mings, Youri Tielemans, and Andres Garcia all missing the win over Tottenham due to injury.

Ollie Watkins came off the bench after recovering from an injury sustained while on international duty with England, while Jadon Sancho and Emi Buendia were also fit to feature -- the latter scoring the winning goal against Spurs.

Here is the latest on the injury front:

Mings missed Villa's matches against Feyenoord and Burnley with an ankle injury but returned to training before the trip to Tottenham. It was agreed that he would not be included in the squad to face Spurs, though he could make his return to action on Thursday.

Possible return date: Go Ahead Eagles (October 23)

The Belgian midfielder suffered a setback with the calf injury that has kept him out of the last seven matches. He is not expected to feature again until after the next international break, with Villa's home match against Bournemouth on November 9 coming too soon. Tielemans is likely to remain sidelined for another two to three weeks.

Possible return date: Leeds United (November 22)

Garcia has yet to feature for Villa this season. He trained prior to the season opener against Newcastle United and again before the Bologna match. He has only been named in one matchday squad -- Villa's first European game of the campaign against Bologna.

After the win over Tottenham, Emery briefly discussed Garcia's situation but did not provide a clear timeframe for his return.

While speaking about Matty Cash, Emery said: "We need him because Garcia is still injured. He can give us the same as Cash. Lindelof can defend as a right-back too. Without Andres, Cash is necessary. He is consistent for 90 minutes. Sometimes he struggled physically in consecutive matches and got injured, but he is now keeping well."

Possible return date: Unknown
