HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - Three people were transported to nearby hospitals after a fire erupted in an apartment in Hollywood.

Flames were seen on camera shooting from an apartment window located along the 400 block of Ocean Drive.

Officials remained on the scene to investigate.

According to fire rescue, three people in total were rushed to the hospital: a father, a grandmother, and a child.

The father was able to escape from the structure on his own, while fire crews rescued the grandmother and child from the flames.

Their conditions are currently unclear.

The Red Cross has been called, as the fire has additionally left some residents displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
