From eating contests to new venues opening, it's a huge weekend in Penrith. Here's five big things happening in town...
Opening of Brell House
St Marys' newest hospitality venue, Brell House, is holding its Grand Opening on Saturday.
Brell House offers fabulous food, great drinks and a playground - making it perfect for the entire family.
The Grand Opening is on Saturday, October 25 from Midday until late. You'll find Brell House on the corner of Hall Street and Mamre Road.
Eating competition at Brisket Boys
This Saturday, Brisket Boys will be smoking an 50kg (approx) hog onsite in their smoker ready for a huge day.
Their new challenge: How many Pork Burgers, pulled straight off the hog, can be consumed in six minutes?
This new comp has attracted registrations from locals, past competitors and some big names in the competitive eating world. The 1 Metre record may also be going on the line.
It's at Brisket Boys at the Manufactor precinct from 3pm this Saturday, October 25.
History on show at Open Day
The Nepean District Historical Society will host its Annual Historical Festival and Open Day at the Arms of Australia Inn Museum, located at the corner of Great Western Highway and Gardenia Avenue, Emu Plains.
The event will run from 9am to 3pm on Sunday, October 26, and admission is free.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Tall Timbre Country and Western Band, adding to the festive atmosphere.
It's designed as the everyday heart of the Regatta Park precinct. Open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, the café will serve Allpress Espresso coffee alongside a fresh, seasonal menu crafted to suit families, friends, and visitors alike.

Open Day at Penrith Regional Gallery
Celebrate the closing weekend of the current suite of exhibitions at Penrith Regional Gallery with a day of free activities showcasing Oceanic culture, including a spectacular Pan-Pacific cultural dance and fire performance by Matavai Cultural Arts.
Enjoy hands-on art-making for all ages, including a joyful lolly lei workshop celebrating the gifting tradition of Ula Lole, and a giant sculpture activity inspired by Shireen Taweel's The Edge of the C.
