Indian American oncologist Dr. Eric Singhi has won the Revolutionary Researcher award from Health Union, a leader in online health communities and home to the Social Health Network, the largest network of health leaders. Singhi won the award with nine others in the 2025 class of Social Health Awards honorees.
This awards program stands as the premier platform dedicated to honoring the unwavering dedication and impact of health leaders, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs), whose tireless commitment to building vibrant communities and sharing invaluable insights is fundamentally reshaping the experience of health across digital spaces, according to a Health Union release.

"We are constantly in awe of the leaders in our community who have taken their personal journeys and transformed them into a source of hope, inspiration, and action for millions," said Julie Croner, Vice President, Community Development at Health Union. "These awards are our way of saying thank you. They are our way of making sure these incredible individuals are seen, heard, and celebrated for the tangible change they bring to the world."
Singhi said he was "beyond grateful for this opportunity to educate and connect with others about the importance of early detection, ongoing research, and compassionate care in the world of lung cancer."
Singhi is an assistant professor in the Department of General Oncology and the Division of Cancer Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. In his dual appointment, Dr. Singhi is also an assistant professor in the Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology at MD Anderson's Division of Cancer Medicine.

He was a 2024 International Association for Study of Lung Cancer Academy awardee, a 2022 Young Investigator Award recipient for the EGFR Resisters Research Summit, and a recipient of several other awards and honors. Dr. Singhi is also a member of various professional organizations, including the SWOG Cancer Research Network and the Texas Medical Association.
He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency training in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University.
