With Escape from Tarkov 1.0 officially arriving this November, it seems that the game is gearing up to release on more PC storefronts, as it's been confirmed that Escape from Tarkov will be released on Steam (finally!).
The official confirmation of a Steam release for Escape from Tarkov comes from Battlestate Games' head, Nikita Buyanov, who revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that the team is currently working on the game's Steam page with an image (pictured above).
There are no details beyond that, including whether the Steam release will arrive on the same day as the 1.0 launch (separate launcher). Let's have our fingers crossed that it does, as many Steam players would love to own the game on the platform.
With Steam officially confirmed, the question now is whether or not Escape From Tarkov will be released on other PC Storefronts, like the Epic Games Store or GOG. Not only that, but will the game come to consoles at all? We sure hope so, as it's one of the biggest and most popular hardcore story-driven online shooters out there.
In the very least, we shouldn't have long to wait to hear more about the 1.0 release of Escape From Tarkov, as it's currently being showcased at PAX West. Fortunately, we're at the event and should have more details (as well as a preview) on the big 1.0 update later this week, so stay tuned for that!
