Glastonbury fans left without tickets after glamping company closes

Despite the high costs and stress of online ticketing, the Glastonbury Festival remains one of the most anticipated events of the year. With tickets for the 2025 event selling out in a mere 33 minutes, many go to extreme and expensive routes to gain access to the grounds. When tickets sell out so abruptly, many fans look to camping access and other glamping websites that also offer access to major events. Every year, the team at Glastonbury delegates a select number of tickets to these outlets, providing attendees with passes as well as unique accommodations.

Unfortunately for fans who booked through Yurtel, the company has revealed that it will no longer be fulfilling the orders as the company heads towards liquidation. Packages through the vendor ranged from £10,000-£16,000, but a representative from Glastonbury told BBC News that it "cannot take responsibility" for Yurtel's fall as it had not paid for its allocation of passes. Fans who purchased through Yurtel will not be receiving a refund either, but rather will need to wait for the liquidation process to pursue any possible refund or replacement.
