Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown was briefly handcuffed Friday night after being involved in a huge fight after an Adin Ross kickboxing event.
Multiple videos emerged on social media showing Brown involved in a huge fight following the event in Miami, Fl. Video obtained by TMZ showed that Brown was initially tackled to the ground by unidentified individuals, prompting him to begin kicking one of his assailants.
There were also reports of shots fired during the incident. Allegedly, they may have been fired by Brown, who was alleged to have had a gun, though this is not confirmed.
Initial reports suggested that Brown was arrested at the scene. Brown later clarified on X that he was "jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me." He was handcuffed, but was only detained temporarily while police tried to piece together what happened.
Brown said he plans to pursue legal action against the individuals who allegedly attacked him.
Brown's account was largely confirmed by Miami police, who told TMZ that no arrests were made and there were no reports of injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
Brown last appeared in the NFL in 2021 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his NFL career is fundamentally over. As of last year, he was facing significant financial issues. This is not his first brush with the law, either.
