Strong pitching ruled the opening round for the 9th District teams in the 3rd Region Baseball Tournament.

Owensboro Catholic got six innings of strong work from Barrett Evans in a 9-1 win over McLean County in an opening round game on Memorial Day at Whitesville Community Park.
