Once again, the Chanel Creation Studio has designed a quintessential Chanel collection for the Fall-Winter 2025/26 ready-to-wear collection. Transforming the Grand Palais into a theater of sartorial wonder, the collection was unveiled beneath the venue's iconic glass roof, toying with proportions, perceptions, and the timeless codes of the maison, delivering a spectacle that is as poetic as it is groundbreaking for the Chanel Fall-Winter 2025/26 show.

The stage was set by scenographer Willo Perron, whose installation -- a monumental black ribbon weaving across the floor and soaring into the air -- served as both backdrop and muse. Against this dramatic canvas, the collection unfolded as a study in scale: mini jackets paired with exaggeratedly long trousers, oversized poplin shirts cascading to the ankles, and petite black tweed jackets reimagined as long coat dresses adorned with jeweled buttons. A cape, edged with jacket cuffs, blurred the lines between outerwear and couture, embodying Chanel's mastery of redefining form.
This season, the house's most cherished signatures -- the bow, the ribbon, the pearl, and the flower -- blossomed anew, reinterpreted with a playful audacity. Bows, in every conceivable size, adorned collars, cuffs, and even the ankles of a striking black down jacket and sweatpants ensemble. A long white knitted ribbon wrapped a black sweater, culminating in a voluminous shoulder bow, while openwork bows punctuated dresses and cardigans with delicate precision. Footwear followed suit, with heels sculpted from single pearls, and a cross-body bag evoking an oversized pearl necklace. Maximalist rhinestone jewels amplified the theme, proving that at Chanel, even the smallest detail can command the grandest presence.

Layering emerged as a cornerstone of the collection, lending depth to its trompe l'oeil effects. A grenadine tweed trio -- a micro-jacket lined in vivid red silk, a wrap skirt, and flared trousers -- exuded effortless sophistication. A bronze-hued ensemble layered a tunic and trousers beneath a buttoned skirt, while an ivory look stacked a sleeveless blouson gilet and a slit skirt atop a miniskirt. These compositions danced between contrast and harmony, with diaphanous flounced capes in black or white illusion tulle offsetting structured tweed suits in champagne, black, or white. Transparency became a tool of movement, as a black tulle blouse and skirt overlaid an ecru trouser suit, or a puffed-sleeve white tulle shirt enveloped an ecru jacket-dress, revealing the silhouette in ethereal layers.

The collection's femininity shone through unexpected fabrics and flourishes: chiffon jeans, silk masquerading as tweed, a ribbon-motif print floating across a breezy design, and a hooded black organza parka adorned with bows. Sock-ankle boots and satin bouillonné shoes added a delicate touch, while removable ruff-collars resembling corollas, black wool lace trench coats with faux fur inlays, and sweaters with 3D white petal plastrons infused the lineup with poetic whimsy.

Never straying far from the realm of fairytales, the Chanel Fall-Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear collection is a testament to the house's ability to balance imagination with impeccable craftsmanship to close out Paris Fashion Week.
