Jake Paul Challenges Floyd Mayweather: 'I'd Knock You Out in Two Rounds'

Remember when boxing was not summed up in a few clips on TikTok? Or when Mike Tyson, Manny, or even Floyd would make history in the ring? Those were the days. Anyway, it's 2025, and Jake Paul, the YouTuber turned entrepreneur turned one of the faces of boxing, has challenged legendary boxer Floyd "Money" Mayweather yet again to a fight. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Mayweather made some comments and dismissed Paul as an easy opponent.

"Easy, too easy," Mayweather said when Fallon asked about potentially fighting Paul, 28. "At 48, too easy."

In typical Jake Paul zero Fs style, Paul didn't let the challenge slide. After hearing Mayweather's comments, in which he confidently stated, "At 48, too easy," Paul responded with a series of insults aimed at the veteran boxer. Mayweather's claim that even at 48, he could easily defeat Paul seemed to fuel the fire for the younger fighter, who swiftly took to social media to remind his fans of a past incident.

Get this: Paul mocked Mayweather by recalling a moment from a 2022 exhibition match, where YouTuber Deji managed to land a punch that left Mayweather with a visible black eye. "You bum. Deji gave you a black eye in an event that had 4,000 people in it," Paul tweeted, followed by a mocking "Deji hahahah."

Not stopping there, Paul turned up the heat with a bold prediction, declaring that he would knock Mayweather out within two rounds. "I would knock you out in 2 rounds and you can't sniff Mike Tyson's toe," Paul stated, intensifying the challenge and making it clear that he sees Mayweather as far below the level of boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Two rounds. Insert all the laughing emojis.

ICYMI, this isn't the first time Jake Paul has tried to provoke the undefeated boxing icon. In 2023, Paul revealed that Mayweather and his team approached him during an NBA game. While the two exchanged words, Paul clarified that he had no interest in escalating the situation. "I don't need to prove my toughness," he wrote on Instagram. "I'm not going to sit there and try to fight 50 dudes."

Get this: Paul has flipped the script, questioning why Mayweather has avoided a legitimate fight. With a series of tweets, Paul clarified his intentions: "Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight," he wrote, claiming that Mayweather's team had repeatedly contacted his team for one of his well-known "exhibitions." Paul further criticized Mayweather for allegedly ambushing him with offers for staged matches.

Jake Paul is demanding a real fight and calling for Mayweather to step into the ring: "Come see me in the ring. Real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bullsh*t," he challenged, asserting that fans deserve an authentic showdown, not another exhibition bout.
