Police are appealing for witnesses after two men in their twenties were sent to hospital after an altercation.

Between 8pm - 9pm on Thursday December 12, several men were involved in an altercation - involving the use of a weapon - on Gower Street and Oxford Road.

Two men in their twenties sustained serious injuries which required hospital treatment. They have both been discharged.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Peter Principi said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident or has any information that can assist my investigation.

"I am also appealing to anyone with dash-cam, doorbell or mobile phone footage to please get in touch.
