HANDCRAFTED treasures made by local artisans will be showcased at a festive shopping event.

Makers in the Valley is returning to a barn beside Bidlea Dairy for a Christmas special edition.

Traders will be offering a selection of festive present ideas on Sunday, November 30 from 10am to 3pm.

Organiser Jo Walker said: "This event promises to be a festive powerhouse, nestled safely indoors in a charming local barn, offering the ultimate destination for unique handmade gifts.

"You can browse the unique creations of local artisans while stocking up on Christmas cheer.

"Bidlea Dairy will be selling their beautiful Christmas trees across the road, making it the perfect single trip to find gifts and your tree."

The market's relaxed and friendly atmosphere encourages interaction, allowing you to meet the talented local makers behind their creations.

Visitors can engage in conversations, learn about their techniques and discover the inspiration behind their work.

It's a chance to connect with the people who pour their heart into their craft.

Among the line-up is Emma Gleave, a pencil master who specialises in animal portraits.

Scruffy Mutts Snack Shack have been running a dog walking, daycare and home boarding business since 2012.

In 2021, they started providing 100 per cent natural, nutritious treats, with nothing added.

They also cater for various dietary needs.

Handcrafted ceramics and wooden décor will be available to add a natural touch to your home.

Reusable gifts made from upcycled and recycled fabrics will be on display, proving that sustainable choices can also be beautiful.

Homemade jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles, all made from home grown ingredients will also be available.

Handmade silver jewellery, quirky resin jewellery and fused glass pieces will be on display.

Jo said: "This is more than a market, it's a chance to meet the people behind the craft.

"Every item has been lovingly created, guaranteeing that your Christmas gifts are as unique and memorable as the people you share them with.

Bidlea Dairy will be on hand serving their renowned ice cream, drinks and cakes.

The Brown family has run the dairy farm at Orchard Farm in Twemlow for three generations.
