5 things to do in and around Victoria this Friday, September 19th

Celebrate the end of the week by treating yourself to a WHL hockey game, night out in Langford, or enjoy some live music!

Any of the above would be the perfect way to kick off your weekend, so what are you waiting for?

Check out these 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Friday, September 19th:

Grab your jerseys and your foam finger -- Victoria Royals hockey is officially BACK at SOFMC!

Catch newly-minted captain Reggie Newman and the rest of the team as they take on the all-new Penticton Vees.

Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. but there will be a pregame BBQ and giveaways beforehand, so make sure you come early! Tickets are still available online here.

Join the City of Langford for a vibrant weekend of food, music, and community spirit at the annual Station Food Truck & Music Festival.

The event will feature:

Antonio Larosa is a country-rock and roots artist whose music blends the grit of blues, the soul of vintage rock, and the storytelling of classic country. With a voice that channels the spirit of Elvis Presley and the emotional weight of Chris Stapleton, Larosa creates songs that are heartfelt, lived-in, and unapologetically honest.

Raised in Vancouver, BC, Larosa was drawn to the music of Johnny Cash, The Allman Brothers, BB King, and Roy Orbison from a young age. His music reflects those roots: raw, rhythmic, and filled with sincerity, but filtered through his own lens and life experiences.

Have you spotted the massive purple and white circus tent at Mayfair?

It's there because an international circus has arrived in Victoria and will be in town for nearly two weeks of fun and entertainment!

Circo Osorio Circus a family-owned traveling show with performers from around the world, will set up its iconic striped tent in the Mayfair Shopping Centre parking lot from September 11th to 22nd.

Hosted by Mina Mercury at local hotspot Friends of Dorothy, their Dinner and Drag events are always filled with delight and fun!

There's new special guests each week, and they've got a new menu for you to peruse, so you can sip and enjoy fabulous entertainment.

Friends of Dorothy is an adult-only establishment after 9:30 p.m., so if you're staying late, leave the kiddos at home!
