More than 11.300 people were treated in 59 comprehensive sessions in Trujillo.

Through 59 social and comprehensive programs under the Love in Action Plan, Venezuela Mujer, Venezuela Joven, Viva Venezuela Mi Patria Querida (Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland), More Years, More Love, and Health Goes to School, more than 11.300 people were served in the 20 municipalities of Trujillo state during the month of August.

The information was provided by Angélica Morón, regional secretary of the Somos Venezuela Movement, who noted that these social care sessions were promoted by the Hugo Chávez Mission System in conjunction with the Unified Health System in Trujillo state with the support of the Bolivarian government.

She added that a total of 11.350 people -- including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors -- were served with various medical services and care, including dentistry, pediatrics, general medicine, gynecology, cardiology, and laboratory services, as well as nutritional assessments, vaccinations, haircuts, prenatal checkups, preventive talks, legal advice, and recreational activities, among others.

In addition, 230.199 single-dose medications were distributed free of charge through the Ministry of People's Power for Health and the Trujillo Health Foundation (Fundasalud).

"We remain deployed throughout the country to ensure direct and timely care. We thank all the institutions that actively participated in the comprehensive outreach sessions. Thank you for joining forces and contributing to strengthening the health and quality of life of the people of Trujillo," Morón said.

Days in schools

As part of the August Open Schools program, a comprehensive medical program was held at the Ricardo Labastidas Educational Unit, located in the Mercedes Díaz parish of the Valera municipality. Nearly 400 people received general medicine and pediatric consultations, vaccinations, and the distribution of 2.369 single-dose medications in the pharmacy.

The activity included collaboration with various regional government institutions to provide play and recreation spaces for children and adolescents, as well as family training areas for adults.

In a press release, Fundasalud stated that the success of this event not only demonstrates the Bolivarian Government's commitment to the health and well-being of the community but also highlights the importance of collaborative work to address the challenges affecting the country.

"Public participation in these initiatives is essential to building a healthier and more harmonious future for all," the bulletin stated.
