Senior woman attacked in road rage assault in Brooklyn as duo flees in gray sedan

BROOKLYN, NY - A 68-year-old woman was punched in the face multiple times during a violent encounter in Williamsburg Wednesday evening, and police are now searching for two suspects involved in the broad-daylight ambush.

The assault unfolded around 7:41 p.m. on August 13 in front of 21 Manhattan Avenue, where the victim was sitting inside her vehicle. According to police, a man approached the driver-side window and initiated a verbal dispute with the woman. When she exited the vehicle to confront the man, a second individual -- identified as a female -- suddenly attacked her.

The woman was punched repeatedly in the face before falling to the ground, where she sustained swelling and pain to her face and body.

The two suspects quickly fled the scene in a gray four-door sedan, heading eastbound on Varet Street. Their identities remain unknown.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull, where she was treated and listed in stable condition.

The NYPD released descriptions of the suspects. The female attacker is described as having a light complexion and was last seen wearing a gray shirt, gray pants, black jacket, and white sneakers. The male individual who initially confronted the victim is also described as having a light complexion, and was last seen in a white tank top, black pants, and a black head wrap.

What started as a roadside argument turned violent when fists flew and a senior ended up in the hospital.
