The Disney Channel alum, 22, debuted her baby bump at the Los Angeles Premiere of The Man In The White Van on December 10. Wearing a long-sleeved brown gown, she wore her hair in an elegant up-do complete with chunky golden jewelry. This marks the first time Skai has debuted her pregnancy bump on the red carpet.
Skai, whose best known for playing Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel series Jessie and its spin-off Bunk'd, announced that she was expecting her first child in November 2024.
"I'm thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life -- embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects," Skai told People Magazine in a statement. "My heart is so full!"
The former Disney star is welcoming her first child with her boyfriend, whom she has not publicly named.
The news comes a few weeks after she sparked pregnancy rumors while out in Los Angeles, after photos obtained by several outlets saw Skai outside in a white flannel shirt, white tank top and gray shorts. As Skai stood with her hand resting on her stomach in the snaps, fans speculated that she was expecting. However, she never addressed the rumors.
As she prepares to become a mother herself, Skai told the outlet that she is also close with her own mom, Kiya Cole, who raised the actress as a single mother.
"[My mom] always taught me to stand up for myself, stand up for what I believe in and fight for what is right," she told People in February 2023. "I thank her for that because without her, I probably wouldn't have a lot of the confidence that I do now."
The news comes a few months after Skai was arrested for domestic battery following a fight with her partner at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood in August. Security footage captured Jackson pushing him twice. She was cited and released a few hours later. Despite this, the couple maintained that nothing physical occurred.
Prior to her current relationship, she was romantically linked with Julez Smith, Solange Knowles' son. Their relationship was kept pretty private until their breakup was publicly exposed through social media.
