The final "A Fair of the Arts" of 2025 season set for Saturday | WBIW

BLOOMINGTON - This Saturday marks the final "A Fair of the Arts" for the 2025 season at the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market (BCFM), promising a lively blend of music and community engagement.

The traditional event will take place on Fernandez Plaza in front of City Hall.

Market-goers will be treated to a special performance by The Bloomington Bones, an ensemble founded in 1984 by Wilson Winner and affiliated with the Bloomington Community Band.

Known for their eclectic selection of music -- ranging from jazz standards to classical pieces -- the trombone group features Bette Lucas, Sheila Gerber-Mgr., Gary Wiggins, Greg Tittelbaugh, Harold Popp, and Eli Brauner.

The Bloomington Bones' performance is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on the BCFM Circular Stage.

In addition to the musical entertainment, attendees will have a chance to meet with a key city official. David Hittle, Director of Bloomington's Planning & Transportation Department, will be greeting the public at the market from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to stop by to discuss local transportation plans, city planning issues, or say hello.

As the final "Fair of the Arts" of the year, this Saturday's event offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy local produce, artisanal goods, live music, and conversation.
