ROSHOLT, Wis. (WSAW) -The conference races in volleyball are starting to heat up. In the CWC-South, several of the contenders from last year were in action on Tuesday.
First, in Rosholt, the Hornets took down Pittsville 3-0 to improve to 2-0 in the conference. Rosholt's next game is against Edgar on Thursday. Pittsville plays next at a tournament on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the conference, Pacelli beat Tri-County 3-0 in Stevens Point. The Cardinals will next play in a tournament on Saturday, while Tri-County's next match is against Rosholt next Tuesday.
In non-conference competition, SPASH fell to Eau Claire Memorial 3-1. The Panthers managed to win the first set, but couldn't regain momentum, losing in four on the road. The Panthers return home on Thursday to play Wausau West.
