On the May 20, 2025, episode of The Real Brady Bros. podcast, Williams and his co-host and costar Christopher Knight answered fan questions, including one that asked whether they ever slept in their characters' beds on the set between scenes.
"I did," Williams, who played eldest sibling Greg Brady, answered.
While Williams, 70, noted that he had a dressing room with a couch in it, he said that one day he ventured into his character's bed while other actors were filming a scene on the set's backyard.
"I went back there. I didn't tell anybody," he said. "They were working out in the backyard and in the den, and I fell asleep on my bed, which was on the other half of the sound stage. And I didn't tell anybody."

He continued: "And they were looking for me for like 30 minutes, 35 minutes, which is a long time to be looking for someone who they need. And I was asleep. And finally, somebody walked by and went, 'There he is,' and woke me up."
Knight, 67, added that the sets not being used were "generally taped off."
"In our case, they weren't always taped off. Sometimes they were with tape that said 'hot set.' They didn't want you being in those rooms when they weren't being used," Knight, who played middle son Peter Brady, said.
"That's why they didn't think to look for me there," Williams said.
Added Knight: "And it's not like we didn't have a place to lay down if we needed to to get some rest. That's what our dressing rooms provided. There was a couch in each of the dressing rooms that you could lay down on."
Williams continued, "I was tired a lot during the show. It was very demanding."
Knight agreed with the demanding nature of their filming schedule, but said he never fell asleep on set
"Never fell asleep on in the bed. I mean, what am I 12 years old with all the energy in the world?" he said. "I'm bouncing off the wall."
