FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) - A Hermitage man is facing multiple counts of aggravated assault after a domestic disturbance in Farrell on Thursday.
According to police reports, officials were dispatched to the 600 block of Emerson Ave. around 2:30 a.m. for a domestic disturbance and a man having a "manic episode" involving a baseball bat.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Xzabian Savage, 47, standing on the front porch talking to himself.
As officers approached Savage, he said, "You tried to kill me" and "You're not killing me, dude." Reports state the officers and Savage do not know each other.
After offering Savage a blanket and ambulance assistance, Savage started to get more irate and tried to punch an officer, reports state. Officers said a brief struggle ensued, and they used a drive-stun.
At the police station, officers found a plastic bag in Savage's mouth, reports state. When officers tried to grab the bag, they said Savage kicked an officer twice in the leg and ended up on top of a bench after another struggle.
One of the officers was taken to the hospital and "tore something" in his elbow, reports state.
The bag was removed from Savage's mouth and contained 3.5 grams of suspected cocaine and/or fentanyl, according to reports.
Savage was ultimately charged with three counts of aggravated assault, tampering with evidence three counts of recklessly endangering another person, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing a controlled substance.
Savage is set to have a preliminary hearing on Dec. 26.
