Altus Power has acquired three operational clean energy projects in Maine, adding a total of 12.8 megawatts of solar energy to its portfolio, the company announced Dec. 5 in a press release.

The late-stage development projects were purchased from multiple developers and will provide power to 3,300 homes in Maine through the company's community solar program. Financial details of the transactions were not disclosed.

"Our ability to acquire and develop solar assets from a variety of partners allows us to scale quickly and efficiently, ensuring that the economic and environmental benefits of solar power reach more enterprises and households," said Matt Marlow, co-head of investment and structured finance for Altus Power.

Altus Power provides energy to homes and businesses nationwide without the need for individual solar panel installations.
