Gia Miller announced during the Countdown to TNA Final Resolution that Hammerstone would be unable to compete at the event due to an injury he suffered. Hammerstone was scheduled to team up with Jake Something against The Raclaz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) and the team of PCO & Sami Callihan.

The nature of Hammerstone's injury was not revealed.

After the announcement, Jake Something was interviewed by Miller and stated he did not plan on finding a placement because he believed he could go alone.
