An acquisitive pet food group behind a number of well-known brands has pushed turnover up close to £115m in its latest accounts.
Pets Choice has its head office in Blackburn and additional sites in Yatton, North Somerset, and Cardiff.
The firm's portfolio of brands includes Webbox, Webbox Naturals, Bob Martin, TastyBone, Spike's, Meatiful, Feathers & Beaky and Felight.
In its latest results, covering the year to 31 December 2024, turnover at the business rose by 4 per cent to £112.6m boosted by investment in new products during the year alongside improved distribution.
Gross margin was maintained against the backdrop of significant commodity inflation by "realising efficiencies from current and prior year investments", Pets Choice said.
A profit before tax of £5.9m was reported, down slightly from £6.7m in the prior year.
In a business review, the directors were said to believe their strategy for the company remains viable and are "satisfied with the company's performance for the year given the current inflationary pressures facing the economy".
Pets Choice's latest expansion involved the acquisition of several brands from the administrators of Kennelpak Ltd, including Breederpack, Kennelboy, Kennelmaid, Duchess and Dylan.
