More than 60 class A drug deals have been seized by police in Dartford after a car was seen being driven in a suspicious manner.
A patrol was in the Joyce Green Lane area, shortly before 10am on Friday (May 16), and witnessed a Nissan Qashqai stop twice for pedestrians who approached the vehicle.
Suspecting the occupants were involved in the supply of drugs, they stopped car in Attlee Road and detained a man and a woman for a search.
The officers said they seized 65 deals of cocaine and heroin, and both suspects were taken into custody. Urkan Kerimegou, 30, of Chaucer Road, Welling, London and Evie Southion, 22, of Martens Avenue, Bexleyheath, London were later charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply and possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
Kerimegou was also charged with driving without insurance. Both suspects appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on Saturday (May 17).
Kerimegou was remanded in custody to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on a date to be fixed. Southion was bailed to the same court on Friday 13 June.
