The SPHEREx telescope, which will help study the origins of the universe and "scour the Milky Way galaxy for hidden reservoirs of water", was launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on March 11.
Also launched were satellites for NASA's PUNCH (Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere) mission, which will study how the sun's outer atmosphere becomes the solar wind.
