Resident repeatedly puts tiny sound machines in 4 building elevator to get back at HOA's $1,500 fine: 'I hope they go bankrupt trying to figure it out'

Resident repeatedly puts tiny sound machines in 4 building elevator to get back at HOA's $1,500 fine: 'I hope they go bankrupt trying to figure it out'

This person found an incredible way to tune out their HOA members!

When you live in a high-rise building, you find yourself spending a lot of time in the elevators. You spend time waiting for them to arrive, and then you shuffle inside and look at yourself in the mirror or stare at your shoes. Then you repeat the process daily -- you get to know the sounds your elevator makes (especially if it's one of those ones that cheerfully announces your floor). And you quickly get to know what it sounds like - does it make a ding for each floor? Do you fear for your life because of the way the metal box grunts and groans as it carries passengers? You quickly learn all the little sights and sounds of this elevator, like it or not.

This person got in trouble for just using their building's elevator in a fairly normal way. It seems like their local HOA just wanted to flex their power (which, to be fair, seems like about 98% of what HOA members do anyway). This resident wasn't taking their irritating fine laying down, though -- keep scrolling to read the tale of the way they got back at the HOA. Who knows, maybe the next time you get fed up with a neighbor or an in-building HOA, you'll remember this dude's tale, and shell out $10 to ruin their lives.
