Sony launched a new Crunchyroll Manga subscription service that allows people to read digital copies of different series, and it is included in the Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan subscription tier. That costs $15.99 per month. There are also new options for other memberships that add the extra service. The Fan tier, which is normally $7.99, costs $11.99 for an option with manga. The Mega Fan one is $11.99 alone or $15.49 with manga. We knew this was on the way as, after ending support for manga in 2023, Sony stated it would launch a new app in 2025.

A subscription with Crunchyroll Manga lets someone read on mobile devices and in browsers on PCs without any ads appearing during the stories. If you just want to read on a computer, that web version won't be live until October 15, 2025. An internet connection is required to first access it, but it is possible to download manga to read offline in the event of traveling without being able to get online. You can choose between light and dark mode options for viewing. The announcement also noted someone could look at a single page or two-page spread when reading.
