The Des Moines Register reports that Costco is recalling bottles of its Kirkland Prosecco Valdobbiadene. The product was sold in stores between April 25th and August 26th of this year. Consumers should look for an item number on the bottle of 1879870.

According to the Register, the recalled sparkling wine was also sold at Costco stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

What Should Customers Do If They Have a Bottle?

The Register reports that Costco is urging customers to dispose of the bottles immediately. They suggest wrapping the bottle in paper towels and a plastic bag before placing it in the trash.

Costco says that members who purchased a bottle of the recalled wine will receive a letter, which they can present at their local Costco store and receive a refund, according to the Register.
