This is a time to remember those who have defended our country, it's a time for fun and food with family and friends, and for district diamond lovers, it's a time to prep for the WPIAL championships.

The baseball finals are Tuesday and Wednesday at EQT Park in Washington and softball Wednesday and Thursday at Lilley Field in California.

There were plenty of changes, five in baseball and three in softball, heading into championship week.

However, the two teams at the top remain the same with Pine-Richland in baseball and Neshannock in softball.
